**PLEASE NOTE- AT THIS TIME JENN IS NOT TAKING NEW CLIENTS.
I am a Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling, Registered Professional Counselor with the Canadian Professional Counselors Association, and the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta, as well as a Clinical Traumatologist, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with the International Association of Trauma Professionals. I am the founder and director of Parkland Wellness Center and Refugee Welcome Space. I have also been a pastor for 27 years.
My passion is to walk alongside people who are seeking healing from the past and hope for the future. I believe safe, unconditional connection, and approaching challenges with a hopeful perspective are two key factors in creating a meaningful and productive therapy experience.
As a Counselling Therapist and Psychotherapist, I have a background in Trauma Informed Care which includes the treatment of PTSD and C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self esteem issues, certified in level 1 Gottman Approach to Marriage Therapy, trained in Prayer Counselling Method, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems Approach, Crisis Intervention Care/Counselling, Compassion Fatigue(burnout) Recovery, and am an Advanced Accredited EFT Clinical Practitioner with the EFT and Mindfulness Centre.
Before becoming licensed as a Registered Professional Counselor, I did Pastoral Care Counselling for 22 years. It has been an honor to walk alongside others when in their greatest times of need, and to celebrate with them in their ability to overcome challenges. I am humbled and honored to be a resource to the Tri-region as the Parkland Wellness Center and Refugee Welcome Space. I do hope we can be a place you can call home. I would love to sit down with you and see if I could be a good fit for your counselling needs.
My commitment is, if we as a center, and I as a therapist, cannot provide the resources or care you need, we endeavor to connect you to 2-3 resources that could serve that purpose. If you don’t find me at the center, serving in the community or in the church, I’m probably recharging by gardening, hiking, snuggling cats, or spending time with the people I love and admire.
