Grief Recovery Support Program 2026
Begins Monday, January 12th, 2026 - March 2nd, 2026
Time: 6:30pm - 8:30 pm
Location: Parkland Wellness Centre, 180 Century Rd, Spruce Grove, AB

Loss and grief is a deeply painful, lonely, and frequently isolating experience. We often feel unprepared and ill-equipped to deal with our emotions and experiences with any form of loss. Most of us have not been taught how to heal our emotional pain after loss. Rather, we are told well-meaning myths and misinformation such as to “move on”, “keep busy”, “be strong”, and “time will heal” which often keeps us stuck or isolated in our pain.
Among the many normal reactions after loss, we may experience emotional and physical exhaustion, reduced concentration, numbness, isolation, changes in eating and sleeping, and a rollercoaster of emotional energy. The hopeful news is that grief does not have to be an experience of lifelong suffering. There are actionable tools that can help you to move beyond the pain and heal your heart.

The Grief Recovery Method is an evidence-based program that helps bring hope to people around the world. During the 8 weeks of the program, we will take several small intentional actions to move through the pain of loss and grieving, become more present, and recapture a sense of meaning and purpose.

Your facilitator is Cyndi Millett, who is a Registered Psychologist, Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®, and EMDR Clinician.
Cyndi will be calling each registrant before the start date to ensure the program is a good fit for your needs. If you find the program doesn't fit your needs, your $50 fee will be reimbursed.

This is not a 'Grief Share' style drop-in group and a commitment to attend all sessions is required.

ELL Course (English Learning Courses)
Wednesdays, 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Intermediate
Location: Parkland Wellness Centre, 180 Century Rd, Spruce Grove, AB

Our formal ELL courses are especially suited to pre-beginner and beginner English speakers and continue into an intermediate level. Our main goal is to help prepare students for what may be a more intense English classroom setting in other schools and organizations. If you want to learn English but still feel very intimidated in a more formal school setting, our classes may be just right for you. We do offer one-on-one tutoring for more advanced students with specific goals in mind.
If you are interested in ELL courses, please contact us and we will be happy to register you in the appropriate course.
